Two third of women over 40 have at least one symptom that suggests menopause, mostly the hot flushes, night sweats, difficulty of sleeping and weight gain.
Not only do symptoms negatively affect women’s quality of life, there are also serious health risks associated with the menopause. In many cases these can be eliminated with proper treatment, like hormone replacement therapy.”
While 72% of 40-55-year-old women complained about at least one symptom that characterizes menopause, only 51% of them turned to a doctor about these symptoms.
